Polycarbonate Valley Fixing Fasteners
POLYXPAND™ Valley Fixing Fasteners is shorter in length and designed to be used at the valleys of corrugated profiles when the skylights are used as wall claddings, and can also be used on VULCAN Solid and Embossed Flat sheet profiles.
Differs only in length from POLYXPAND™ Crest Fixing Fasteners, the valley fixing POLYXPAND™ creates a nominal 10mm diameter thermal expansion hole with the winged drilling tip which is then covered with a large domed BAZ washer to provide a perfect seal against the elements and superior strength against high winds.

VULCAN POLYFAST & POLYXPAND™ are designed to work seamlessly with VULCAN Polycarbonate sheets. Consult VULCAN or your local dealer before using any non-conforming accessories. Failure to do so could result in damaging VULCAN Polycarbonate sheets and void warranty.
POLYXPAND™ – VALLEY FIXING POLYCARBONATE SCREWS
POLYXPAND™ polycarbonate screws are designed to create a much-required thermal expansion hole on plastic roofing materials and then securely fastened onto the purlin underneath in one-go.
Owing to the wings on the drilling tip, a 10mm diameter thermal expansion hole is created during the process, which then snaps off immediately upon coming in contact with steel.
A large domed BAZ washer completes the package, covering the expansion hole while providing superior strength against high winds.
POLYXPAND™ Valley Fixing polycarbonate screws can be used on all kinds of plastic glazing material and are especially effective when used to fix polycarbonate sheets to steel purlins.
The shorter length is designed to be used at the valleys of corrugated profiles when the skylights are used as wall claddings, and can also be used on VULCAN Solid and Embossed Flat sheet profiles.
• True Australian AS3566 Standard
Hex Washer Flanged Head:
Separate EPDM steel bonded washer NOT required. (No risk of leakage)
• Thermoset 100% EPDM BAZ washer:
√ Weathering Resistant (UV / Ozone / Acid)
√ 100% Leak-proof sealing
√ Perfect fit under hex washer flange
√ Optional metal washer add-on
√ Shock absorbing (for high wind areas)
• Creates a 10mm dia. thermal expansion hole for plastics.
• Winged Drilling Tip:
Wings break off once in contact with the steel purlins,
keeping the plastics sheets securely fastened.
¡Incorrect screws create stress cracks and thus leakage on Polycarbonate or other Plastic Sheets.
